Sorry for the late post,
But here it goes......
On March 31, 2012. The Cherry Blossom Festival took place at the East San Gabriel Valley Community Center. As soon as we got there we saw booths galore, each selling different things, like, and ice cream hot dog.... boy it was delicious. Also the curry sold there was great, and for a great price might I add. The event ended great with some ice cold beer and somen noodles, followed by the perfomance of the Taiko drum group which played beautifuly, you guys can check out the video on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UU2Ou8E_G8&feature=g-upl&context=G227b7d7AUAAAAAAAAAA). All I can say now is, I look foward to next years cherry blossom festival in West Covina.
Dynamic Culture Beat is a blog about discovering L.A and events happening around the L.A area. Also, hopefully I can also include locations in other areas as when the blog becomes more successful.

Wondercon
So Wondercon was amazing, one of the best cons I have been to. It was so much fun, including they gave away alot of freebies, from giant bags to the new Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations game. I also got to meet the producers of the show Once Upon a Time, where I got their autographs and they also gave a small book replica like the one Henry has in the Once Upon a Time panel. I'll be posting pictures of Wondercon throught the week on my Facebook page, so feel free to go and check it out.

ABC Seafood Interview
So as previously mentioned, I went to go check out the Restaurant ABC seafood (The food was delicious, especially the Walnut Shrimp). When we got there, the service was great and we got seated right away after we entered. Along with the meal, sweet and sour soup was included as well as tea. What we ordered as a group was the Kung Pao W/ Peanuts, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and the Walnut w/ Prawns. After our meal, I got to talk to the manager of the establishment which informed me that the restaurant has been around for 4 months. Also I learned that the most best sold items were "Spicy Squid, sole fish, crab and lobster (b/n: really decent price for lobster and crab), and young broccoli. The manager informed me that not much oil or salt is used in the dishes. An interesting fact on the restaurant is, "People can make special orders, before the customer comes". Majority of the customers are either Chinese or Philippino....
All in all, i truly recommend this establishment to anyone who may happen to be around Chinatown, and if not, driving there sometime to try the food is truly great and you wont regret it. I know I don't, as a matter of fact, writing this makes me crave the Walnut with Prawns!
Address of establishment:

Discovering
Dynamic L.A.
L.A has such a diversity of cultures and cultural events. There's so many, we don't even know where to start discovering our own culture in our own backyard. Discovering L.A. takes time, but it can sure be rewarding.
